Skiing at Loon 2021-2022
Protocols
Masks Required
Masks are required indoors, and also required outdoors when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Mask usage will continue at Loon until rates of community transmission improve in our region. Loon operates on federal land and, as permit holders operating on federal land, we are required to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), consistent with Executive Order 13991.
Small Bags Only
Backpacks are OK; large bags stay out. If you were traveling on an airline, would your bag be considered a carry-on or luggage? If the answer is luggage, leave it in your car or at home. We are happy to welcome you back inside to boot up – but keep it to your boots. Simplifying your bag choice will reduce congestion inside.
Day Tickets Limited
The number of day tickets available for purchase will be limited, and must be purchased on our website to guarantee your access. Managing the number of tickets sold each day has shown to improve the experience for both our guests and team. Season pass holders (New England Pass and Loon) will be open to visit as their passes allow, as will ticket pack holders (New England 5-Day, XL 3-Pack). Reservations will not be required for Ikon Pass holders.
Dining Indoors
Inside dining will be available at our lodges this winter. Masks are required when not at your table.
Lifts
Chairlifts will be operating a normal capacity and singles lines will be in place at select lifts. At the White Mountain Express Gondola, guests in the group line will not be grouped. Guests in the Singles line will be grouped with other singles.
